Bagamoyo, a place exasperatingly famous for its varying sense of naturality, is a town located along the East African coast, bordered by the Indian Ocean, its trading capability being manipulated by its vast beauty.
This African pride is further enlightened by the wildlife, which varies as do the sun and the moon! From goats to llamas, boars to hens, deer to leopards, all are found on this one stretch of lanTHd, unified as they roam the land in harmony. Bagamoyo has also recently been renounced as a world heritage site, and strongly supports more than 30,000 inhabitants, yet being a place full of cultural heritage, tradition, nature, and respect. The town has a number of ports, an internationally famous college of arts, and numerous tourist attractions. What mainly attracts tourists though, is the hilly habitat, classy hotels, preserved culture, artistic essence in the inhabitants, and obviously, the wildlife in the area, not forgetting its majestic trading ability, and cultural goods that it owns!
Eco-friendly tourists also come here for research on the African culture, which is miasmically preserved, in the fiasma of ancient reticulum, further completed by a sense of responsibility and a positive attitude, devoted by the citizens, towards the town, its culture, its heritage, its visitors ( considered as guests), and its royal overview. They come here to learn about the African art forms, the languages and beliefs that the natives follow, and to experience a world of peace, calmth, unism, and harmony. Others come here to test their knowledge about the place.
Along with culture and tradition, the people of this grandeur have also managed to preserve various species that originate from the animal and plant origins. Worldwide tourists come to visit this world heritage site, contently enjoying and experiencing a world of peaceful revolts of wind, heights, and majestic hotels and residential homes.
Although all this leisure and joy resides here, there is still tonnes of suffering in this town. Where tourists enjoy in their smouldering riches, the poor, the residents of the area live every breath of theirs as a loan to hardwork, pain, and misery, starving to give their children a one-time meal, leave alone a happy and educated life.
This issue of poverty arises in not only Bagamoyo, but the entire nation as a whole. Although the government is trying hard to improve on this, carrying out development plans, building new roads, replacing barren routes, new shops, buildings, and housing facilities, that would replace the shattering slums that lie in this lavishly majestic area, there is still the of co-operation and understanding from other people. Inhabitant or not, we need to understand, support, and fight for the rights of these helpless people, whose country we share, and whose soil we stand on everyday; who work their sweat and blood for our sakes...
Looking at international relation statistics, Bagamoyo is also twinned to the world famous city of California, which is indeed a pleasure and delight to both Bagamoyo and California, both being world famous cities and heritage sites, the richest of their kind and kin too..
Saying that Bagamoyo is home to many ethnic groups does not only mean that these people inhabit the town, but also means that they mix their essence to the ground and people of the place, totally providing it with a different, diverse and joyous environment, being a huge example towards portraying diversity, ethnicity, unity, and respect in our globalized and modern society of differing views and personalities, not just in our nations, but in any city or country throughout the world..!!
THANK YOU!!

ReplyDeleteA very attractive blog and a good job on that very informative with loads of pictures very appealing to the eye, but I would like to state that tourists would want to know more about the attractive side of Bagamoyo not about the poverty going on in Bagamoyo and since the main topic of the blog is Bagamoyo, I fail to understand why you have talked about California in the article. In short a very good article at the end of the day.

I whole-heatedly appreciate your attempt on improving our blog, and than you greatly for your comments. As for your question, yes, the tourists would preferably like to know about the attractive side of Bagamoyo, but I shall take the delightful pleasure to reminding you that this blog was not only meant for advertisement of the city, but also for awareness upon how the devastating and exasperating aspects of it collaborate to make the city as it is. California has been mentioned in the blog, as it is said to be twined to Bagamoyo, as per our sources state. thank you very mush for those great comments!

DeleteIn my opinion the theme on the blog is too catchy and Bagamoyo is a historical town so I believe the background, the way you write and the theme should reflect on that. Anyways, really lovely work. What do you think is a must-visit place within Bagamoyo and what activities can be done there?
ReplyDeleteIt's a good read ,, though you could add what activities can the tourists indulge as well as exploring the rich culture of bagamoyo !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vaidehi and we will certainly do so!

I think you have made a great blog but i think you could have added other key elements such as the hotels or resorts where the tourists could stay the activities they could take part in.
ReplyDeleteWhat a patriotic welcome to Bagamoyo for me. Thanks for the good work. After viewing this blog, I felt convinced that, indeed, a picture is worth a thousand words.
